Reina Lovelace joyfully serves her clients through skilled massage therapy and bodywork. Her centered and present massage sessions are greatly influenced by the practices of Jivamukti Yoga Method, Integral Yoga and Meditation. Intuitive and nurturing, she uses her nineteen years of bodywork experience to facilitate healing in her clients. Reina is inspired by the body’s ability to heal itself and personalizes every session to address her clients’ individual needs. With a strong background in chronic pain management, Reina uses an integration of western and Eastern modalities to ease her clients into a pain-free and integrated body.
Reina graduated from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage in 1998 and later served as faculty. She has furthered her studies in Tui Na (traditional Chinese massage), Thai Yoga Massage, Massage for the Childbearing Year (including labor and infant massage instruction for couples), and certification in the Usui Reiki Ryoho healing system.
Through her 28 year personal practice of yoga and meditation she has personally experienced the amazing transformative power of integrated practices. She was particularly fascinated by the therapeutic effect of Yoga Nidra, first introduced to her at the Satchidananda Ashram. Reina was compelled to further study at the Amrit Yoga Institute, becoming certified to teach Amrit Yoga Nidra/ Integrated Relaxation.
Reina is a 300 hour certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher and is continuously inspired by her teachers: Jeffery Cohen, Andrea Boyd, Jules Febre and Sri Swami Satchidananda. She offers Meditation, Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga classes in the Boston area.
Though she has been blessed to study with many amazing teachers over the years, Reina considers being a mother and partner her greatest education. With great joy and humility she offers what she has learned in hopes that her clients find health and peace.
